Export Operator Job Description

Right Now Group is proud to partner with a leading global freight forwarding business in the aerospace industry. We are seeking an experienced Export Operator to provide a world-class freight forwarding service to their prestigious client base.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide accurate shipment quotations by obtaining details on regulations, certification, and documentation.
  • Advise and recommend customers to achieve their turnkey requirements.
  • Coordinate daily import and export operations, reviewing orders and documents.
  • Track and communicate delays, damages, or issues, and liaise with customers to resolve.
  • Ensure shipments are billed within company guidelines and timelines.
  • Comply with regulatory agencies' requirements.
  • Execute Dangerous Goods shipments in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Establish a relationship as a trusted advisor to customers, providing a one-stop-shop for shipments.
  • Partner with customers to advise on and qualify their shipping requirements.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in multimodal export operations.
  • Fluent oral and written English skills, with any other major European language skills a bonus.
  • Strong ability to recognize opportunities to improve shipping processes.
  • Ability to resolve non-routine problems using extensive knowledge and experience.
  • Able to perform in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  • Happy to work out of hours if required to complete customer shipments.
  • Excellent customer-service skills.
  • Cargowise knowledge (desirable).
Additional Information:

Location: Colnbrook, Heathrow
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday
Hours: 09:00 - 17:30
Salary: £35,000 - £38,000
Benefits: 25 Days Holiday (plus Bank Holidays), Private Healthcare, Pension Scheme, Bi-Yearly Bonus Scheme, Yearly Salary Increase, Paid Overtime, Paid On-Call Rota (From Jan 2025), Potential Hybrid Working (After Probation - Needs to be Applied For).
