About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mathematics Teacher to join our team at Gretton School. As a Mathematics Educator, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons to students with Autistic Spectrum Conditions, specifically high functioning autism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, assess, and monitor student progress, ensuring the implementation of Individual Education Plan targets.
  • Deliver a high-quality curriculum, including the National Curriculum, suitably differentiated to meet the needs and interests of learners on the autistic spectrum.
  • Implement Quality First Teaching, adapted to the needs of unique learners.

Requirements

  • Qualified teacher status
  • Relevant training and/or experience in SEND and autism/communication and interaction needs
  • Strong classroom management skills with an approach that relies on strong positive relationships with learners
  • An understanding of or a willingness to become familiar with autism, the challenges facing autistic students, and the best approaches to use when working with autistic individuals
