Job Title: Graduate Engineer

Smart Manufacturing Solutions is seeking a skilled and motivated Fabrication Engineer to oversee and execute fabrication processes from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, plan, and manage the fabrication of parts, components, and assemblies to meet required specifications and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure production targets, KPIs, and quality standards are met.
  • Develop and improve existing and new fabrication processes and techniques through the design and implementation of fixtures, jigs, and tooling.
  • Analyze fabrication processes to identify efficiency improvements, reduce waste, and optimize labor through lean manufacturing principles and time and motion studies.
  • Troubleshoot fabrication issues and provide solutions, manage the introduction of new parts into production, and ensure process and quality standards are achieved.
  • Ensure all fabrication processes comply with industry standards and regulations through the promotion of a positive culture of safety and regular safety audits.
  • Provide a monthly summary of department performance and present to the wider management team.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 or above qualification in Fabrication/Welding.
  • Competent at welding to ASME IX or ISO 9606 standard.
  • Good understanding of CAD software.
  • Competent with reading engineering drawings to 3rd angle projection.

Working Hours:

  • Dayshift - Monday to Friday 7:30am - 3:30pm.
