Urogynaecology Specialist Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Urogynaecology Specialist Nurse to join our Gynaecology Outpatient Nursing Team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will work alongside a consultant lead in urogynaecology and a dedicated team of gynaecology nurses and support workers, providing a specialist service for women with pelvic floor and bladder dysfunction.
The post holder will be responsible for co-ordinating and delivering an expert nurse-led service, including the management of prolapse, vaginal pessary, bladder retraining, catheter care, TWOC, PTNS, bladder instillations, and providing medication reviews.
They will work autonomously, have excellent decision-making skills, and ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in teaching and education, as well as service improvement and leadership.
They will be required to work cross-sites at West Middlesex University Hospital and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.
About the Role
The Urogynaecology Specialist Nurse will be responsible for:
- Co-ordinating and delivering an expert nurse-led service for women with pelvic floor and bladder dysfunction
- Managing prolapse, vaginal pessary, bladder retraining, catheter care, TWOC, PTNS, bladder instillations, and providing medication reviews
- Working autonomously and having excellent decision-making skills
- Ensuring the delivery of high-quality care
- Providing clinical teaching and education to other colleagues
