Clinical Nurse Specialist in Dermatology

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist in Dermatology to join our team at Great Ormond Street Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing specialist care and support to patients and families affected by Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB).
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert clinical advice and support to patients and families affected by EB, including those requiring ongoing care and management.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Conduct outreach diagnostic services and provide support to neonates, their families, and involved professionals.
- Coordinate care for children at Great Ormond Street Hospital for outpatient appointments and ward admissions.
- Provide education and training to local healthcare staff, including Community Paediatric Nurses, Health Visitors, GPs, Social Workers, and Genetic Counsellors.
- Participate in research projects to improve care pathways and quality of life for people affected by EB.
- Registered Children's Nurse with current NMC registration.
- Experience of working at Band 6 level or equivalent in a relevant clinical environment.
- Proven leadership and management skills, including experience of leading and managing a team.
- Previous experience of research and audit, including the development and implementation of research projects.
- Excellent clinical skills, including the ability to assess and mentor patients and families.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to work.
