Project Engineer

Join Syntech Recruitment Ltd as a Project Engineer and take on a challenging role that requires strong technical skills and project management expertise.

Job Purpose:

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing projects from start to finish, working closely with customers to provide technical support and designing hydraulic products such as cylinders and valves. You will also be responsible for growing the customer base and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review project enquiries to ensure proposed products meet company capabilities.
  • Design hydraulic products using SolidWorks and AutoCAD, ensuring cost-efficiency.
  • Keep technical documents, drawings, and specifications organised and up-to-date.
  • Deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Provide technical expertise to the team and customers.
  • Manage project changes and monitor performance using appropriate tools.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
  • Assist in business development by promoting and selling hydraulic products.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Education: HNC or higher in Mechanical Engineering, with knowledge of hydraulics.
  • Software: Skilled in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
  • Experience: Familiar with manufacturing processes, hydraulic product design, and project management.
  • Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
    • Able to manage multiple projects and communicate well with customers.
    • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Additional Requirements:
  • Must be eligible for Security Clearance and provide a DBS check.
