This is a highly rewarding role where your support will make a significant difference in the student's academic journey and overall school experience.
In this role, you will collaborate with the class teacher, onsite experts, and specialists to create a supportive and nurturing environment tailored to the student's individual needs. You will be an integral part of a team committed to the success and well-being of the student.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to a student with an EHCP, focusing on their individual needs.
- Assist the student in accessing the curriculum and engaging in classroom activities.
- Implement strategies and interventions as outlined in the EHCP.
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and specialists to monitor progress and adapt support strategies as needed.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
- Encourage social interaction and emotional development.
- Keep detailed records of the student's progress and any challenges faced.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience working with children and young people with additional needs, ideally in an educational or care setting.
- Be patient, empathetic, and creative in their approach to supporting the student.
- Have a strong commitment to safeguarding and the well-being of children.
- Be adaptable, resilient, and able to build a positive rapport with the student.
- Be committed to making a lasting impact on the student's future and overall school experience.
