Site Manager Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Manager to join our team at Melior Associates on a major civil engineering wastewater project near Haywards Heath.

The successful candidate will have experience in civils and water, with a strong background in project management and site operations. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting site inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions
  • Producing method statements and risk assessments
  • Carrying out health, safety, and environmental inspections of site works
  • Assessing labour and skills required for tasks
  • Ensuring accurate and completed timesheets and site hours
  • Reviewing specifications and drawings
  • Identifying requirements and completing subcontract procurement schedules
  • Providing information for subcontract enquiries
  • Reviewing subcontractor RAMS, including temporary works
  • Completing Temporary Works Design Briefs
  • Updating contract programmes weekly with project planners
  • Ensuring daily and weekly briefing and review meetings are carried out
  • Completing Project Close-Out reports
  • Developing and reviewing method statements and risk assessments
  • Producing monthly reports
  • Updating commercial forecasts and identifying variations and final accounts
  • Meeting with utility companies to agree diversions

Requirements for the Site Manager include:

  • Experience in civils and water, ideally with wastewater project experience
  • CSCS card
  • Site Safety Plus - SMSTS certificate

Ideal requirements include:

  • Temporary Works Coordinator
  • Confined Spaces
  • First Aid at Work
  • Fire Warden
  • HND/C or BSc/BEng in Civil Engineering or NVQ L4/5 in Construction Site Management
  • Water Hygiene card
