Nicholas Associates Group Limited is seeking a skilled Process Technician to support the operation and maintenance of Hydrogen generators and catalyst production equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Facilities Preparation: Set up and prepare laboratory facilities, equipment, instruments, and materials for experiments or tests.
- System Operation: Operate HMI systems to control Hydrogen generators and catalyst production systems.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct QA and QC of produced catalyst.
- Maintenance and Calibration: Perform maintenance and calibration of equipment to ensure operability, accuracy, and reliability.
- Experiment Support: Assist engineers and scientists in conducting experiments, tests, and research projects.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and analyze data, measurements, and observations using various tools and techniques.
- Documentation: Record and document experimental data, observations, and results accurately and in a timely manner.
- Standard Operating Procedures: Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and protocols to ensure consistency and reproducibility of experiments.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues or problems that may arise during experiments or tests.
- Development and Optimization: Assist in the development and optimization of test systems, laboratory procedures, and protocols.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members or researchers to analyze and interpret data.
- Safety and Compliance: Comply with safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines.
- Education and Experience: GCSE or equivalent, technical college graduate, or apprentice-trained preferred. 3 years of experience as a technician in an engineering workshop or laboratory setting.
- Technical Skills: Experience with handling chemical reagents and production of catalysts. Strong work ethic with a drive to complete tasks with high-quality standards.
- Communication and Teamwork: Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a diverse team of technicians, engineers, and scientists.
- Operational Skills: Ability to operate and maintain complex systems and test equipment. Piping skills, welding skills, soldering, and/or electrical wiring skills desirable but not essential.
- Safety and Compliance: Safety-focused. Experience with operating PLC control systems and datalogger systems. Experience working with hazardous gases in an ATEX environment.
- Other Requirements: Proficient with the use of hand tools. Knowledge of 5S. Able to read engineering and electrical drawings. FLT license beneficial. Computer literate.
