Job Title:

Academic Academy Tutor

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Tutor to join our team and contribute to the academic success of students in Barnsley. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a patient demeanor, and a genuine passion for education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver personalized instruction and create engaging lesson plans
  • Foster a supportive learning environment and promote student engagement
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Must hold QTS or previous experience of working with students on a 1:1 basis (e.g., HLTA, Intervention Lead)
  • HLTA or equivalent qualification/experience would be ideal
  • Proven track record of improving students' performances
  • Team Teach Qualification would be highly desirable
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable, however not essential as Safeguarding training is provided)
  • DBS on update service
Compensation and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a competitive hourly rate of £20-£30, ensuring a fair compensation for their expertise and dedication. Additionally, they will have access to accredited continued professional development courses, including safeguarding and behaviour management, and an in-house Training and Development Team.

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional references
