Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pasty Chef De Partie to join our production team in a busy kitchen environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality pastry products following DO & CO standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Producing Pastry: You will be responsible for producing consistent, high-quality pastry products according to the Head Pastry Chef/Pastry Sous Chef schedule.
  • Team Leadership: As a role model, you will lead a team and provide guidance and support to ensure the production of pastry according to the schedule.
  • Culture Development: You will instill a culture of job pride and ownership, motivating the team to adapt to stressful situations and deal with emergencies or last-minute changes to production.
  • Production Planning: You will coordinate, plan, and participate in the production, preparation, and presentation of meals in adherence to the menu specifications.
  • Section Ownership: You will take ownership of a section within our busy production kitchen, preparing and baking dishes with pride to exact specifications.
  • Team Collaboration: You will work closely with the kitchen brigade, maintaining an inclusive team environment and utilizing your culinary knowledge to ensure quality levels remain at our high standards.
  • Support to Sous Chefs: You will partner with the Sous Chefs, helping them with any given duties in kitchen management, and delegate responsibilities to Kitchen Helpers, giving them your knowledge to assist in their development.

Requirements

  • Experience: Previous experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie working on multiple sections.
  • Knife Skills: Impressive knife skills are essential for this role.
  • Culinary Environment: You will be confident working in busy, fast-paced culinary environments.
  • Communication: You will be able to communicate effectively in English.
  • Teamwork: You will be confident working in a team environment.
  • Availability: Flexibility in regards to your work availability is essential, as the Production Kitchen operates 7 days a week, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Right to Work: You will have the right to work in the UK.
