The Role:

A Debt Recovery Specialist is required to join our team, providing support in increasing clients' recoveries year on year by advising clients on the best course of action to maximize recovery of debt, costs, and compensation.

Key Objectives:

To assist in increasing clients' recoveries year on year by:

  • Advising clients on debt recovery procedures and appropriate options
  • Preparing court papers quickly and accurately
  • Liaising with debtors in relation to the recovery of sums owed
  • Making and answering telephone calls
  • Implementing actions prompted by daily diary
  • Supporting other members of the team
  • Accurate and timely processing of instructions received

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert advice on debt recovery procedures and options
  • Preparing and submitting court papers
  • Liaising with debtors and clients
  • Managing daily diary and implementing actions
  • Supporting the team in achieving business objectives

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience of debt recovery law and Civil Procedure Rules/other court practices
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work in situations that can include time pressure, interruptions, and other causes of stress
  • Computer literacy and keyboard skills
  • Good communication, both written and oral
  • Ability to work on own initiative and retain a sense of humor in times of pressure
  • Ability to build and develop good relationships with clients
