About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join our dynamic team at Macildowie Recruitment and Retention. As a Credit Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing the recovery of overdue payments from clients, resolving invoice queries, and negotiating repayment plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Communication: Regular communication with clients to ensure invoices are paid on time.
- Account Query Resolution: Investigating and resolving account queries, including issuing credit notes as required.
- Credit Management: Developing and enhancing credit management procedures and systems.
- Debt Collection: Timely collection of all outstanding debts and customer payments.
- Repayment Plans: Negotiating repayment plans where necessary.
- Invoice Resolution: Resolving invoice-related issues both internally and externally.
- Financial Administration: Posting and allocating daily receipts into Sage.
- Reporting: Preparing aged debtor analysis and reports for management.
- Team Support: Assisting the finance team with other duties as needed.
Candidate Requirements:
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage client relationships at all levels.
- Communication Skills: Calm and confident telephone manner, capable of handling difficult conversations.
- Self-Motivation: Self-motivated and target-driven.
- Task Prioritization: Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
- Problem-Solving: A proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Experience: At least 3 years of hands-on experience in credit control, ideally within an SME.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Sage 50 is essential.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.00 per hour
Hours: 20 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
