Job Title: Orthopaedic Technician - Fracture and Orthopaedic Department

The Division of Surgery – BHRUT NHS is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Qualified Orthopaedic Technician to join our team in the Fracture and Orthopaedic Department at King George Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to patients requiring the application of casts and splints.\

Main Responsibilities:
• Provide direct and indirect care to patients in the Fracture/Orthopaedic/Paediatric Clinics, Wards/Theatres, and other areas of the Trust.\
• Work as a Trained Orthopaedic Technician within a team of technicians delivering a service to Trauma and Orthopaedics, A&E, UCC, Wards, Theatres, and other departments across the Trust.\

Requirements:
• British Orthopaedic Association Casting Certificate\
• Literacy, Numeracy, and ICT GCSE A-C or equivalent\
• Understanding of knowledge and skills required to develop self and team members\

The Division of Surgery – BHRUT NHS provides care for the residents of three diverse London boroughs. We operate from two main sites – King George Hospital in Goodmayes and Queen's Hospital in Romford. We have two of the busiest emergency departments in London – more than 300,000 people visited our A&Es in 2023. We also provide outpatient services at Brentwood Community Hospital, Barking Community Hospital, Loxford Polyclinic, and Harold Wood Polyclinic.\
