Job Title: Finance Business Partner

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Business Partner to join our team at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Finance Corporate Services Team, you will play a vital role in shaping our service delivery and making a positive impact on the financial environment.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive financial advice and support to managers, ensuring they understand the efficiency and effectiveness of resources within their control. You will need to be persuasive when dealing with conflicting priorities and ensure that financial opportunities and risks are quantified and understood at all levels of the Trust.

You will work closely with Divisional and Trust stakeholders to develop annual plans, forecasts, and identify key risks and mitigations to delivery of the plan. Your excellent communication skills and personal qualities will enable you to engage effectively with Senior Managers and their teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide financial business advice and information to support the Director, General Management, and Budget Holders.
  • Manage and develop finance staff on a day-to-day basis and deputise for the Deputy Head of Finance when required.
  • Act as finance lead on a range of projects and business tenders.
Person Specification:
  • Working towards CCAB/CGMA qualification.
  • Willingness to undertake training relevant to the role.
  • A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post.
Work Experience:
  • Knowledge of NHS finance and business planning regimes.
  • Appointing and managing staff.
  • Working with computerised financial systems.
  • Experience of using Capita Integra General Ledger, Crystal Reporting, and ESR (Electronic Staff Record).

  • Able to keep abreast of developments in the Trust and the wider NHS that may impact on the department.
