Job Title: Quality Assurance Subject Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Subject Expert to support our PDA Trade Union Representation qualification and units (VG 603).

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting external verification and qualification approval activities under the conditions, timescales, and arrangements set by SQA.

The primary role is to ensure that standards are maintained by supporting the approval and verification of qualifications in the subject area(s) concerned. The ideal candidate will have relevant knowledge of the subject to be verified and a strong understanding of the sector.

This is a part-time role, requiring one or two days per year to carry out quality assurance activities with the full support of an experienced quality assurance expert. Fees and expenses are paid for work undertaken.

All applications will be auto-acknowledged. Please note that you must use a tablet, laptop, or desktop computer to complete and submit an application, as mobile devices are not supported.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support external verification and qualification approval activities
  • Ensure standards are maintained through approval and verification of qualifications
  • Have relevant knowledge of the subject to be verified and a strong understanding of the sector
  • Carry out quality assurance activities with the support of an experienced expert
