The Role: Health and Safety Operations Manager at Aira

You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and customers across the United Kingdom. Your responsibilities will include developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety initiatives to create a secure and compliant working environment.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures aligned with relevant legislation and industry best practices.
  • E nsure compliance with all health and safety regulations and standards by conducting regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for all aspects of the business, providing recommendations for risk mitigation and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Design and deliver health and safety training programs for employees, subcontractors, and stakeholders. Keep training materials up-to-date with changing regulations.
  • Investigate and report on all accidents and incidents, implementing preventive measures to avoid recurrence. Maintain accurate records of incidents and near misses.
  • Develop and oversee emergency response plans, ensuring all employees are adequately trained in emergency procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to promote a safety culture, providing guidance and support on health and safety matters. Act as a point of contact for all health and safety-related inquiries.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in health and safety performance by analyzing data, identifying trends, and implementing proactive measures.
  • Maintain positive relationships with regulatory authorities, staying informed about changes in legislation and ensuring ongoing compliance.
