Accountant Opportunity

TPF Recruitment is working with a leading independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Portsmouth, seeking a talented Accountant to join their dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will embody creativity, ambition, curiosity, passion, trustworthiness, and articulateness. They will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and be able to engage with clients, identify opportunities to enhance their profits, and support them on their path to success.

Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of statutory accounts
  • Preparation of management accounts for a variety of clients
  • Preparation of corporate tax and personal tax computations
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • General bookkeeping using cloud software
  • Supporting the directors with ad-hoc advisory work
  • Assisting more junior members of staff
Requirements:
  • AAT qualified and/or studying towards an ACCA or ACA qualification
  • Minimum of 2 years experience within practice
  • Experience of cloud software such as Iris, Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Organization, enthusiasm, and self-motivation
