Job Overview: Independent Living Coordinator for Young Adults

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as an Independent Living Coordinator for young adults with learning disabilities. This role will involve providing support to enable individuals to live independently and make the most of their community.

The successful candidate will have experience of working with individuals with learning disabilities and be able to provide a safe and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will also be able to encourage the individual to engage in leisure activities, such as going to the park or playing at home, and assist with daily living tasks.

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting individuals with learning disabilities to live independently and make the most of their community. As an Independent Living Coordinator, you will play a key role in helping the individual to develop their skills and confidence, and to access a range of social activities and leisure pursuits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing one-to-one support to an individual with learning disabilities, enabling them to access social activities and develop awareness of their surroundings
• Assisting the individual with daily living tasks, such as personal care and meal preparation
• Encouraging the individual to engage in leisure activities, such as going to the park or playing at home
• Supporting the individual to develop their skills and confidence, and to access a range of social activities and leisure pursuits

Requirements:

• Experience of working with individuals with learning disabilities
• Ability to provide a safe and supportive environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Salary: £11.30 per hour
