We are seeking a seasoned business partnering professional to join our Global, Corporate and Speciality lines business area as a Senior Manager - Risk, Governance and Conduct. The successful candidate will establish risk policies and procedures, develop risk appetite statements, and provide oversight and reporting to senior management.

About the Role:

In this position, you will act as a trusted advisor to the business, providing guidance on risk and control matters, commercial growth initiatives, and change. You will foster a good risk culture by raising awareness about the importance of risk management and control across GCS. You will ensure the ongoing provision of risk management advice and guidance to guarantee sound business decisions are made.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and apply framework requirements to align with business objectives.
  • Set and chair the risk functional risk forums, including the agenda, and identify and manage risks proactively.
  • Evaluate the control environment to enhance existing controls and processes to ensure they align with business standards and policies, while simplifying processes.

Requirements:

  • London Market or Lloyds experience within the Insurance sector is essential.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills at all levels, with proven business partnering experience.
  • Proven track record of influencing C-Suite and senior stakeholders on all things Risk and Conduct, including 1st and 2nd line.
  • Knowledge of the General Insurance market and associated regulatory frameworks.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills to identify the root cause and resolve performance blockages.

  • Starting salary circa £110,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
