Maintenance Engineer Position

Hexagon Recruitment is pleased to be working with our long-established client, a manufacturer of Plastic Extrusion & Thermoforming products, to find a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team in the Runcorn area.
The ideal candidate will have experience in maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the production's semi-automated and automated machines are kept in good working order on a daily basis.
Responsibilities will include responding to other maintenance needs and breakdowns throughout the busy manufacturing facility, with an 80/20 split between Mechanical & Electrical experience required.
Working hours are Monday to Friday 7am to 5pm, with paid overtime during the week and weekends where required.
The salary range for this position is between £39,000 & £47,000 per year, plus overtime and benefits, pending the candidate's skills & experience.
Immediate interviews are available for the permanent position, and the client is looking for someone with engineering experience and apprentice training and qualification.
- The role requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- The successful candidate will be apprentice trained and qualified, with a strong background in engineering and maintenance.
