About the Role
Five Education Recruitment Limited is seeking an exceptional SEN Lead Teacher to join our team on a temp-to-perm basis. As the lead teacher of the resource base, you will be responsible for creating and implementing individualized lesson plans that cater to the unique needs of students with SEMH difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and deliver engaging, adaptive lesson plans that address students' SEMH needs
- Effectively manage and support a team of SEND teaching assistants in their roles
- Maintain open lines of communication with the SENDCo, Senior Leadership Team, and external professionals to ensure seamless collaboration
- Develop and prepare relevant learning materials to facilitate student progress
- Prepare regular progress reports and provide constructive feedback to parents/carers
Essential Requirements:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the SEND Code of Practice
- Possess prior experience in a specialist provision, although this is not mandatory
Salary Range: £45,000 - £65,000 per year
