Medical Equipment Reconditioning Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sterile Services Technician to join our team at the NHS. As a key member of our Sterile Services department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective decontamination and sterilization of medical equipment.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for reprocessing reusable medical devices, maintaining supplies inventories, and monitoring procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Main Responsibilities:- Reprocess reusable medical devices to ensure they meet required quality and safety standards
- Maintain accurate records of supplies inventories, including daily validation testing and recording
- Monitor all procedures and report any malfunctions or issues with sterilizers and washer-disinfectors to the Sterile Services Manager
To be considered for this role, you must have a strong understanding of decontamination processes within a healthcare environment. You should also possess excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a good working knowledge of computer systems.
Salary and BenefitsThis is a permanent position offering a competitive salary of £38,000-£43,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, you will receive a range of benefits, including access to training and development opportunities, a contributory pension scheme, and a generous holiday allowance.
