Parkinson's Disease Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Specialist Nurse to join our team in Hertfordshire Adult Community Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with Parkinson's disease in the community, including running out-patient clinics and visiting patients in their homes.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Parkinson's disease, excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills, and the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team. They will also have experience in managing complex cases, including those requiring apomorphine, duodopa, and DBS therapy.
The role involves contributing to the improvement of services and ensuring quality care provision. The successful candidate will have access to formal development and training opportunities through the CLCH Academy, including quality improvement and specialist Parkinson's courses.

Key Responsibilities- Foster and implement a multi-disciplinary team approach in all aspects of clinical and non-clinical performance.
- Provide high-quality, comprehensive, holistic, and timely assessments and treatments for patients and their families referred to the service.
- Prescribe and administer appropriate medication within local and national guidelines, such as NICE.
- NMC level 1 Registration.
- Degree (BSc) or equivalent in a health-related subject, with extensive clinical experience relevant to the area.
- Management and leadership skills.
- Membership or teaching experience.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- A competitive salary of £52,963 to £59,360 per annum, inclusive of HCAS pro rata.
