Permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse Role

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our dynamic team in Ruislip. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient and client care.

Working Hours:
  • Full-time: 40 hours per week
  • No OOHs: No out-of-hours work required
  • Weekend Shifts: 1 in 5 weekends, with a rota basis to ensure a fair distribution of shifts
  • Shift Patterns: Monday to Friday: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, 11:00 am – 7:30 pm, 9:30 am – 6:00 pm, with weekend shifts on a rota basis

Our team is made up of experienced professionals, including 4 vets, 3 RVNs, 1 SVN, 2 VCAs, and 3 Receptionists. We are a dynamic and supportive team, committed to delivering exceptional patient and client care.

Requirements:
  • Relevant Qualification: Must hold a relevant qualification in veterinary nursing (e.g., Level 3 Diploma or a degree in Veterinary Nursing)
  • Registration: Must be registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) or equivalent governing body
  • Clinical Experience: Relevant clinical experience working in a veterinary practice or hospital
  • Nursing Skills: Proficiency in general nursing duties such as patient care, administering medication, and monitoring anaesthesia
  • Animal Handling: Experience in handling various animal species (small animals, exotics, or large animals, depending on the practice)
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of animal anatomy, diseases, and treatments
  • Customer Service: Strong general nursing skills and excellent customer service
  • Team Player: Positive, down-to-earth, and passionate about animal care, with a strong ability to work as part of a team
