Job Summary


We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Ward Manager to lead our Palliative Care Unit. The successful candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.


Key Responsibilities



  • Provide clinical leadership to the Palliative Care Unit team
  • Develop and implement effective care plans to meet individual patient needs
  • Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Manage staff rotas, conduct performance reviews, and maintain accurate records
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in patient care
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve organizational goals and objectives

Requirements


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • A degree-level education in nursing or a related field
  • Registered nurse qualification with the UK Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role or relevant clinical area
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Able to work flexibly and manage competing priorities
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuing education
  • Experience working in a palliative care setting or a similar environment
