Mechanical Design Engineer Wanted for Contract Position

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client's team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and detailing manufacturing drawings for major food brand blue chip organisations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Producing designed and detailed manufacturing drawings in accordance with project requirements.
  • Designing utilising CAD - Solidworks and AutoCAD.
  • Conducting site surveys and measuring up.
  • Creating fabrications and installation drawings.

Requirements:

  • Apprentice trained to NVQ L3/HNC Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proficient in Solidworks and AutoCAD.
  • Experience in food plant layouts and capital equipment design.
  • Strong background in food industry projects and site survey experience.
  • A team player with a flexible mindset and a commitment to excellence.

About the Company:

Our client is a leading UK Engineering, projects, and installations company, managing large EPC projects for major blue chip FMCG manufacturers UK wide. They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to assist on key projects due to an influx of projects.

Contract Details:

  • 6-12 month contract with potential for longer.
  • Working in the office 5 days a week as part of the team.
