About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Design Specialist to join our team at Cooper Lomaz Recruitment. As an Electronics Design Specialist, you will be responsible for developing analogue and digital electrical circuit designs and solutions to support the development of a wide range of class-leading equipment.

The successful candidate will primarily work on analogue and digital hardware design, but may also work on wiring design for interconnecting systems.

Main Responsibilities
  • Design Electrical and Electronic Solutions: Design the electrical and electronic solutions for defined requirements, ensuring that they meet the necessary specifications and standards.
  • Component Selection and Evaluation: Select and evaluate components and parts to ensure that they meet the required specifications and standards.
  • Documentation Generation: Generate test, interface, and supplier documentation to support the design and development process.
  • Assistance with Testing: Assist the test department in initial first-of-class (prototype) testing to ensure that the designs meet the required specifications and standards.
  • Reporting and Presentations: Author reports and give presentations to clients and management to communicate the design and development progress.
Person Specification

To be a successful candidate for this role, you must be able to demonstrate the following attributes and skillsets:

  • Qualifications: HND or a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field.
  • Design Experience: Experience of circuit design, simulation, layout, testing, and evaluation for prototypes and production units. Knowledge of PCB layout software is highly desirable.
  • Wiring Design: Ability to design wiring interconnection systems.
  • Interface and Equipment Specifications: Ability to create interface and equipment specifications.
  • Test Specifications: Ability to create test specifications for designs, testing, and to support interdepartmental testing of equipment.
Working Hours and Benefits

The working hours are Monday-Thursday 8:15am-5:00pm and Friday 8:15am-12:45pm. You will be rewarded with an above-market rate salary that will reflect your skills and experience. In addition, you will receive 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays, company pension, free parking, and other benefits.
