Ripley Nursery School and Childcare is seeking a dedicated and experienced Headteacher to lead our vibrant, collaborative learning environment. As a strategic leader, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of education and care for our children.

About Ripley Nursery School and Childcare

We are a dynamic and inclusive organization, valuing parents as partners in nurturing the potential of every child. Our 90-place nursery school serves children aged 3-5 years during term time, and our childcare company provides wraparound education and care for children aged 3 months to 5 years, operating for 49 weeks of the year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and management to ensure the highest standards of education and care.
  • Take responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Develop and implement an innovative curriculum aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of dedicated educators and support staff, fostering a culture of continuous professional development.
  • Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with children, parents, staff, and the local community.
  • Ensure the vision and values for the Nursery and childcare are clearly articulated, shared, understood, and acted upon effectively by all.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and strive for excellence in all inspections.
  • Manage and organize the school environment efficiently and effectively to ensure that it meets the needs of the curriculum and health and safety regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Significant leadership experience in an early years setting.
  • Deep understanding of the EYFS framework and best practices in early childhood education and care.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, enthusiastic, and child-centered approach to education.
