Job Title: Senior Risk Manager, Non-Performing Assets

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Risk Manager to join our team in this key role. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a robust governance framework for managing non-performing exposures, ensuring that the relevant infrastructure is in place for effective portfolio management.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management strategy for non-performing assets, encompassing policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
  • Own the debt recovery process for defaulted cases, managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, guarantors, industry professionals, and risk committee members.
  • Assume primary responsibility for hands-on management of high-risk cases, working closely with Credit Committee to assist clients in returning to a performing status.
  • Collaborate with peers to develop an efficient operating platform for impaired case management, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide ongoing recommendations to credit committee and other stakeholders to mitigate potential losses from assigned portfolios.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory developments, offering guidance to colleagues as needed.
Requirements:
  • Extensive credit underwriting experience in the UK Real Estate Finance market.
  • Substantial experience in distressed recoveries or non-performing asset management.
  • Solid understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks governing Real Estate Finance facilities, including recovery of non-performing exposures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to interact confidently with clients and senior staff.
  • Able to present complex information succinctly, enabling informed decision-making by key stakeholders.
