About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Build Engineer to join our team at IC Resources. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD tooling, creating automation frameworks for Open Source build tools, and managing workflows for CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Designing and building CI/CD tooling to streamline software development, release, and deployment
  • Creating automation frameworks for Open Source build tools such as gcc and OpenOCD
  • Managing workflows for CI/CD pipelines and supporting teams in creating or migrating pipelines using GitHub Actions and Jenkins
  • Developing and maintaining build infrastructure and DevOps tools
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
Requirements
  • Experience in building Open Source tooling, infrastructure, and DevOps
  • Excellent knowledge in CI/CD pipelines, especially with GitHub Actions and Jenkins Pipelines
  • Deep knowledge of Typescript and Python
  • Familiarity with Open Source tools and contributions to the open-source community (Zephyr and/or embedded Linux preferred)
  • Experience of working in an embedded software environment or providing tools for embedded software engineering
What We Offer

As a Senior Build Engineer at IC Resources, you will have the opportunity to work on greenfield open source build projects, creating new build, infrastructure, and DevOps tools from the ground up. This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days per week in our Edinburgh office.
