Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to support and develop the technical infrastructure of Libraries, Museums & Galleries, focusing primarily on the University's heritage collections but also contributing to wider systems strategies for service development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on the technical elements of our Digital Shift strategy, supporting Special Collections & Archives and Museums & Galleries in establishing a new suite of systems, as we expand our portfolio of services in support of research and education.
  • Shape these services, providing technical input at the funding stage and driving the specification, procurement and implementation of new systems.
  • Work effectively with academic, library, museums and IT Services colleagues to contribute to the University's strategic priorities in research, teaching and public engagement.

Requirements:

  • Relevant professional qualification or proven experience of systems administration in a busy service environment with a commitment to continual professional development.
  • Practical problem-solving ability, a flexible and proactive approach to work, and excellent communication skills.
