Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Facilities Assistant to join our team at Defence. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a vital role in maintaining a high standard of facility management and ensuring the smooth running of our operations.

This is a full-time position, contracted to 40 hours per week, with a shift pattern that includes full-time days on Monday to Friday. The role is contracted to 50 weeks per year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake minor repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure the site is in a clean, tidy, and reasonable state of repair.
  • Assist the facilities team with the control of contractors, ensuring they are signed in correctly and adhere to site policies and rules.
  • Represent Compass Group UK&I and maintain a positive brand image.
  • Comply with Health & Safety regulations and ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
  • Adaptability and ability to work under pressure are key requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Initiative and decision-making skills are required to ensure the smooth running of operations.
  • Exceptional timekeeping and reliability are essential for this role.
