Resident Engineer Opportunity

Are you a skilled Car Mechanic or Vehicle Technician looking to transition into a rewarding career in Material Handling Engineering? We have an exciting opportunity for a Resident Engineer to join our team at a leading manufacturing site in the Alfreton area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Servicing and repairing material handling equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Ordering parts efficiently and maintaining accurate stock levels and movement records
  • Completing paperwork accurately and within specified timeframes
  • Managing work-in-progress and maintaining a safe working environment
  • Reporting any unsafe practices or potential hazards immediately
  • Maintaining familiarity with policies and procedures, including IT and absence policies
  • Attending training courses to stay up-to-date with equipment knowledge
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 qualified in Plant, Vehicle Maintenance, or similar
  • Preferably served a full apprenticeship
  • Technical experience in Engines, Electrics, and Diagnostics is essential
