Job Description

As a Senior Mechanical Detail Design Engineer at Expleo, you will play a key role in the design and development of mechanical systems for our clients. Your expertise in CAD modeling and design will be essential in creating detailed 2D and 3D models and drawings that meet our high standards.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date CAD models and drawings for mechanical systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design deliverables are completed on time and to the required standard.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure coordination and functionality of design.
  • Contribute to the development of project and product design cycles, from concept to construction and installation.
  • Provide technical support during construction and installation phases.
  • Perform self-verification of work and report technical progress and issues to line management.
  • Ensure safety, health, and environmental requirements are implemented and maintained.
  • Assist in the maintenance and improvement of quality standards of outputs.
Requirements
  • Hold an NC/HNC or equivalent qualification in Mechanical/Piping discipline subject.
  • Apprenticeship in relevant discipline or relevant industry experience.
  • Familiarity with shipbuilding/ship repair terminology and practices.
  • Proficiency in parametric/spec driven CAD systems, including FORAN.
Experience
  • Experience in design working on Naval or Commercial Marine projects (preferably naval shipbuilding projects/alternatively new build or major conversion packages) or similar.
