We are working with a reputable business in Knowsley who are seeking an experienced Payroll Assistant to join their team on a 12-15 month Fixed Term Contract.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process manual payroll calculations using timesheets, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
  • Handle payroll for new starters, leavers, and adjustments for existing employees, ensuring all changes are reflected promptly.
  • Manage deductions such as pension schemes, salary sacrifice, and child maintenance orders, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Process weekly/monthly employee expenses and mileage payments.
  • Address payroll-related queries efficiently while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Provide general payroll department support, including generating financial reports and ensuring accurate data management.
Requirements:
  • Experience within a fast-paced payroll environment is essential.
  • Knowledge and experience of Sage 50 Payroll is desirable.
  • Great communication skills to relay key information to other staff.
