Deaf Instructor Position

Achieving for Children is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic professional to join our team as a Deaf Instructor. This is a part-time, 1-year fixed-term contract position, working 7.4 hours per week for 39 weeks of the year (term-time only). The salary shown is the full-time equivalent and will be pro-rata.
About the JobWe are looking for an individual who is committed to working with the Teacher of the Deaf Team to provide specialist BSL support for children and young people who require sign language provision. The successful candidate will work with deaf children and young people to develop their communication skills, as well as provide training, advice, and resources to families and educational settings on deaf awareness and the use of sign language.
About You- You will hold a minimum of a Level 3 BSL qualification.
- You will have experience of working with children and young people who are deaf.
- You will be able to work with deaf children and young people who require BSL provision to develop their communication skills.
- You will be able to develop the knowledge and skills of families of deaf children and young people who require sign language as the primary mode of communication.
- You will be able to work with families and educational settings to provide training, advice, and resources on deaf awareness and the use of sign language.
