Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Carlisle plant. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plant by carrying out routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment issues, and implementing preventative maintenance programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out plant upgrades and modifications to the required standards.
- Report all work carried out through our computerised maintenance management system.
- Develop and implement a program of planned preventative maintenance and inspection to minimize downtime.
- Be available for planned maintenance shutdown periods.
- Liaise with external contractors on specific repairs/maintenance.
- Implement and ensure compliance with all company policies, processes, and procedures.
Requirements:
- Experienced Mechanical/Multi-Skilled Engineer working in a process or production environment.
- A willingness to learn new skills and adapt to a changing environment.
- An HNC/HND/C+G (or Industry equivalent) in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering is preferable but not essential.
- Good level of experience working to clearly defined KPIs and delivering continuous improvement within an operational environment.
- Knowledge and practical experience of large Conveyors, Chain Drives, Hydraulics, material Compactors, Shredders, Overhead cranes, and Pneumatics is desirable.
- Experience of working within a time-critical process environment is essential.
