Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Internal Assurance Director to join our team. As a skilled professional, you will be responsible for managing and implementing the audit programme, driving business improvement and promoting a proactive culture for assurance.

About the Role

The successful candidate will support the delivery of the UKAEA's strategic goals by utilising a collaborative approach with key stakeholders. You will work closely with the Group Head of Internal Audit and the Group Systems Audit Manager to develop the combined audit programme, co-ordinate management systems and internal audit resources, and ensure appropriate competencies are maintained against an appropriate training matrix.

You will also liaise with the Head of Profession Quality to support maintenance of the site certification against ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001, and collaborate with the Quality Manager and Head of Profession Quality to drive continuous improvement of the UKAEA Management System using feedback from the system audit programme.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Act and deputise the Group Systems Audit Manager when necessary.
  2. Plan, conduct and deliver audit assignments as required.
  3. Administer the quality of audit information added to QPulse.
  4. Manage the QPulse action tracking software.
  5. Prepare and validate audit dashboards for presentation at various governance boards.

Estimated salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.
