Cavendish Maine is seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Underwriter to join their Commercial Underwriting team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in underwriting larger and more complex property and liability risks. Your expertise will be essential in delivering new business and renewal growth plans, focusing on risks that fall outside the existing underwriting model. You will work closely with Key Account Managers and the Underwriting team to grow and manage broker relations, as well as support the Head of Underwriting with governance, insurer relations, training, and other ad hoc tasks. The ideal candidate will have extensive Commercial Property or Liability underwriting experience, with in-depth knowledge of underwriting principles, risk assessment, and regulatory requirements. In return, you can expect a competitive salary up to £60,000, depending on experience, as well as benefits such as ~26 days annual leave plus bank holidays, a contributory pension scheme, and excellent opportunities for continued professional development.
