Harris Clapham Sixth Form is a brand new academy, designed to deliver a state-of-the-art Sixth Form education. Our community is built on mutual respect and kindness, with a culture that supports the greater good of our academy.
We are seeking an Academic Leader of Media Studies to join our team. This role will involve implementing and delivering a broad and balanced curriculum, as well as supporting a designated curriculum area.
The successful candidate will have experience in teaching Media Studies at secondary level, ideally in a multi-ethnic urban school. They will also have a good understanding of National Curriculum requirements and be able to work as part of a team.
The main areas of responsibility for this role will include:
- Operational and strategic planning, including lesson planning and curriculum development
- Curriculum planning and quality assurance
- Staff development and pastoral care
- Teaching and ensuring a high-quality learning experience for students
The successful candidate will also have excellent communication skills and be able to motivate students and raise their aspirations.
