Import Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Import Coordinator to join our team at DivalentineCalver Recruitment Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the import process, ensuring smooth and efficient clearance of goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor pre-alerts from foreign agents and raise import files.
- Create records in the ERTS system ready for clearance.
- Handle files from start to finish.
- Ensure all relevant and legal documentation is in place for customs clearance.
- Complete and check customs entries, checking the CPC to be used after receiving instructions from the client.
- Ensure the client file is completed with the release information before delivery is organized.
- Support management with deliveries in the transport department, taking into consideration size, value, location, and urgency of delivery.
- Support management to ensure that we are meeting the client's needs.
- Represent the company by demonstrating high levels of customer service and a professional attitude at all times.
- Undertake additional duties or assist other members of staff as may be reasonably requested by the Manager or Directors.

Requirements:
- Good knowledge of import procedure codes and various import entries.
- Full UK driving license or ability to easily commute to our Sunbury office.
- Good knowledge of the English language, both verbal and written.
- Ability to prioritize and organize own workload to tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills: ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Team player in the import team and across all other departments.
- Sound knowledge of IT: Word, Excel, and experience of using a CRM system.
Desirable:
- Experience of transporting valuable goods.
- Knowledge of London and the local area.
Compulsory Checks:
- Criminal record check: basic disclosure, carried out by the Disclosure and Barring Service.
- Full 5-year reference history, with any gaps in employment scrutinized and accounted for.
- Driving license check.
