Finance Business Partner

Eurostar is seeking a skilled Finance Business Partner to join its team, focusing on Stations & Business Development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the monthly close process, collaborating with the Accounting & Control Team to ensure completeness of costs and commentary against budget and the latest forecast for the business area.
- Support the delivery of the monthly close process, collaborating with the Accounting & Control Team to ensure completeness of costs and commentary against budget and the latest forecast for the business area.
- Collaborate with Accounting & Control to ensure cost recognition is aligned with IFRS and only eligible costs are capitalized.
- Prepare and lead quarterly reviews for the business area, covering performance to date and forecast for the year to go.
- Drive the delivery of the Budgeting process for the business area.
- Utilize business and cost knowledge to support Financial Planning & Analysis and Long-Term Planning & Project teams where required.
The successful candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. They will also be proactive in identifying risks and opportunities to achieve functional cost targets and will have a strong understanding of financial governance across the business area.
The Finance Business Partner will be responsible for building and maintaining effective working relationships across departments and business areas, acting as a financial go-to person for business stakeholders. They will also be expected to prepare analyses to aid business decision-making, ensuring clear links with business 'cost drivers', and champion financial governance across the business area.
Key skills and experience required for this role include:
- Ability to think holistically about risks and opportunities and present persuasively for a course of action.
- Proven skills in influencing others both within and outside of Finance and across countries.
- Proven problem-solving and analytical expertise - advanced ability to analyze and simplify data to a variety of audiences.
- Strong attention to detail whilst being able to maintain the bigger picture.
- English language skills (Advanced)
