Job Description

This role requires a Senior Financial Accountant who will be responsible for ensuring NHBC's compliance with UK GAAP and Solvency II reporting, maintaining accurate financial records and controls. The ideal candidate will have several years of post-qualification experience in finance and tax, with expertise in tax return preparation (Corporation Tax, VAT), Solvency II experience, and analytical mindset with ability to problem solve as this role requires working with quantitative data as well as interpreting qualitative information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyse financial documents, with particular focus on insurance result management accounting.
  • Develop and maintain financial models within the Finance department.
  • Oversee tax compliance for various taxes including Corporation Tax, VAT, and IPT.
  • Manage, support, and develop direct reports, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Requirements
  • Membership of a professional accounting body
  • Degree in a technical subject
  • Several years of post-qualification experience in finance and tax
