We are seeking a highly experienced Expert Business Consultant to join our Delivery Services team at ION Group. This senior role is responsible for contributing to the success of our projects by providing software and industry expertise.

About the Role

As an Expert Business Consultant, you will participate as a member of a team dedicated to providing world-class implementation services to our clients. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing industry and functional advice and troubleshooting in the discovery workshop, design, implementation, testing, and production support of our ETRM solution for client business needs
  • Presenting our ETRM solution to client users
  • Supporting the deliverables of our Technical Consultants by providing business and functional guidance, review, testing, and validation of scripted solutions (reports, plugins, and interfaces) as directed by our Product Manager
  • Consulting with client users to determine business requirements and work processes to be addressed by one or more areas of our ETRM solution
  • Demonstrating deep knowledge in one or more areas of ETRM configuration and in one or more energy commodities
  • Providing guidance to Business Consultants in one or more functional areas of our ETRM solution
  • Assisting with professional services best practices as directed by our Line Manager
  • Assuming hands-on project implementation duties in all phases of the ETRM implementation, reporting to the Project Manager
  • Gathering and documenting business requirements, configuration designs, test plans/results, and any other deliverables required by the project as determined by the Project Manager and Lead Business Consultant
  • Keeping our Line Manager and Project Manager(s) informed regarding the status of assigned responsibilities
  • Adhering to implementation best practices in one or more functional areas of our ETRM solution in all functional design, specifications, custom coding, unit testing, and other deliverables
  • FOLLOWING ION documentation standards and resolution process flow for all deliverables
  • Maintaining full chargeability on client account(s) as assigned
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in designing, configuring, and troubleshooting ETRM installations in client environments
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Economics, or a related IT field, or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Strong knowledge of Trading and Risk concepts and financial instruments (Futures, Options, OTC Swaps, OTC Options, FX Swaps, Exchange Traded Options, etc.)
  • Implementation experience with invoicing and settlements, contracts and confirms, cash flow reporting, and interfacing with ERP for A/R and A/P
  • Natural Gas, Crude, Refined Products, Biofuels, LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas), Metals, Carbon, Coal, Agricultural Products industry skills
