We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety and Environmental professional to join our team as a QHSE Director. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in rail safety, knowledge of relevant legislation and industry standards, and a passion for enhancing HSE standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our QHSE team, providing expert advice and support to staff at all levels, and interpreting relevant legislation and codes of practice.

  • Support operational teams with risk assessments and safe systems of work.
  • Document, investigate and implement improvements for all accidents.
  • Undertake occupational exposure monitoring and provide advice on risk management and health surveillance.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for:

  • Assisting with HSE Audits and Assessment Plans.
  • Proactively identifying key areas of non-compliance and improvement.
  • Developing and delivering HSE training.
Requirements
  • Minimum level 3 Health & Safety qualification (e.g. NEBOSH National Certificate).
  • Minimum TechIOSH, preferred CertIOSH or equivalent.
  • Full UK driving licence.

We estimate the salary for this role to be around £70,000-£90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
