We are seeking an experienced Process Engineering consultant to provide consulting services for conceptual, FEED, and detailed design project phases. The ideal candidate will have experience in late-life asset development and design, as well as onsite experience. The scope of work involves performing standard engineering design calculations and undertaking the responsibilities listed below:

Scope 1: Field Development

  1. Further development of the process conceptual design based on the latest production and geoscience data.
  2. Production and review of the required process deliverables to support progression from current phase all the way to start up.
  3. Provision of technical input to vendor and contractor packages.
  4. Review of vendor and contractor process related deliverables to ensure they are in line with project requirements.
  5. Provide technical leadership to vendor and contractor as and when required.
  6. Provide input to project schedule and cost for each phase.
  7. Liaise with Operations as and required regarding their input to the project and their requirement from the project.
  8. Work with other disciplines to ensure a successful project outcome.
  9. Work with project manager to provide required input into project reports.
  10. Produce and carry out presentation for technical discussion and decision making.
  11. Provide pragmatic and progressive approach towards resolving any showstoppers or issues that may arise.
  12. Liaise with Operations on key project documentation to be provided and handed over at the end of the project.
  13. Ensure required final project process documentation are identified upfront and handed over.

Scope 2: Optimisation Projects

  1. Review of the current design and operation of the facilities.
  2. Provide pragmatic solutions on improving the crude export of the facilities.
  3. Identify other improvement opportunities in other areas of the plant.
  4. Produce required process deliverables to document and progress the opportunities identified.
  5. Produce and carry out presentation for technical discussion and decision making.
  6. Provide technical input, review and produce process deliverables to progress selected solution from concept to start up.
  7. Interface with operations and other disciplines as and when required to clarify and progress the projects.

This is a contract opportunity offered subject to IR35 compliance checks.

Requirements

  1. Experienced Process Engineering consultant with 5-10+ years' experience in Process / Petrochemicals Industry & / or onshore / offshore oil & gas is required.
  2. Hands on design experience in Conceptual, FEED and Detailed Design phases.
  3. Experience in the design of typical equipment used in oil and gas processing facilities.
  4. Track record of generating and implementing 'out of the box' pragmatic and safe solutions to process engineering problems.
  5. Good practical working knowledge of process software, especially Unisim for process simulation and other tools such as Flare System Analyser and Flaresim.
  6. Good presentation and communication skills.
  7. Good interpersonal skills.
  8. Working knowledge of international standards.
