About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Services Expert to join our team in a leading asset manager based in London or Edinburgh. This is a permanent opportunity that will provide you with a unique chance to make a significant impact on our operations.

As a Portfolio Services Expert, you will be responsible for handling queries from equity portfolio managers and providing comprehensive support for outsourced dealing activities. You will work closely with our Investment Team to ensure seamless execution of trades and maintain high standards of service delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a detailed knowledge of buy side trading workflow and operations, as well as excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. You should also be able to perform trade support activities, including trade monitoring, completion of oversight checks, and provision of assistance to the Investment Team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Trade Monitoring: Oversee the execution of trades by outsourced dealing desks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Completion of oversight checks on outsourced activities to ensure service delivery is maintained to agreed standards
  • Provide assistance to the Investment Team where needed regarding order creation and trade flow.
  • Performance of ongoing due diligence on outsourced dealing provider, including oversight of broker management at outsourced dealing provider.
  • Management of issues and incidents, including root cause analysis, risk event reporting and determining/assessing remedial actions.
  • Identify operational improvement opportunities and proactively propose solutions including new processes and controls with supporting rationale and evidence for the basis of change.
