Cloud Decisions - Senior Azure Platform Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Azure Platform Engineer to join our Cloud Platform Engineering team at Cloud Decisions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud infrastructure solutions using Azure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions using Azure, including automation of resource setup, scaling, and management.
  • Collaborate with the Cloud Solution Architect team to define new business/service requirements and translate them into deployable Azure solutions.
  • Create expert documentation for various audiences, including clear and understandable documentation for cloud infrastructure solutions.
  • Ensure security and compliance by implementing centralized controls to streamline adherence to organizational standards and best practices.
  • Drive CI/CD processes by automating deployments and providing end-to-end testing of developed components.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
  • Proficiency in IaC tools, including Terraform, ARM, and Bicep.
  • CI/CD expertise, including knowledge of GitHub, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps.
  • Scripting skills, including proficiency in at least one scripting language (PowerShell preferred, but Go, Bash, and Python are also beneficial).
  • Cloud infrastructure knowledge, including familiarity with role-based access control and governance constructs.
  • Containerization understanding, including experience with Kubernetes, Docker, AKS, Container Apps, and Container Instances.
