Job Title: Multi Skilled Carpenter

Industry: Property Maintenance

Location: Isle of Wight

Job Type: Permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week, plus out of hours call out on a rota basis

Days: Monday - Friday plus out of hours call out on a rota basis

Duration: Permanent

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled tradesperson to join our team as a Multi Skilled Carpenter. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out first and second fix carpentry, door hanging, and DFG adaptations, as well as installing kitchen furniture, tiling, and basic plumbing works associated with kitchen installation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Carry out first and second fix carpentry, door hanging, and DFG adaptations
  2. Install kitchen furniture, tiling, and basic plumbing works associated with kitchen installation
  3. Diagnose and rectify faults within core and other trades related repair requests
  4. Communicate with help desk to provide updates on estimated completion time and materials used
  5. Maintain accurate records, including photographic evidence
  6. Assist on other works where required and participate on emergency repairs out of hours call out rota
  7. Adhere to health and safety, technical specifications, and quality standards

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years trade experience and NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Carpentry
  • Experience in UPVC maintenance and repair, kitchen and bathroom installations, or fire door installations an advantage
  • Must be competent in at least 2 other secondary trade skills
  • Must have full driver's licence
  • Must be able to work well on own initiative as well as part of a team
  • This role will be subject to a DBS clearance

What We Offer:

Salary: £34,070 per annum plus call out premium, company vehicle, and fuel card, plus benefits
